Risk Management

Alongside Occupational Health, Safety and Welfare, Envirocorp is committed to a stringent Risk Management protocol. This protocol is focused on three major elements associated with Risk Management

1. Identification of any existing and /or potential risk

2. The Implementation of any necessary action to remove and /or avoid any existing or potential risk.

3. Establishing strategic contingency and action plans in the event of risk.

For the purpose of clarification, the word “risk” will be defined consistent with the meaning to which it is given in The Macquarie Dictionary (as stated below):

Risk – “to expose to the chance of injury or loss, or hazard”

To further on the aforementioned definition, Envirocorp’ interpretation of “risk” also involves the chance of injury to any person on site (whether under the employ of Envirocorp or otherwise) whilst on site services are being conducted by an Envirocorp personnel.

The principal purpose of Envirocorp’ risk management plan is to give consideration to potential hazards and risks in the workplace, whether foreseeable or otherwise. As part of this process, consideration is also given to the most prompt and appropriate responses to a given situation in order to stabilize, immobilize and ultimately avoid any hazards and /or risks from making their presence in the workplace.

Notwithstanding the best efforts of an organization attempting to avoid risk there is always the reality of circumstances arising in the workplaces which are, unfortunately, either uncontrollable and / or unforeseeable to even the most controlled and monitored environments. Factors such as natural disasters (storms, floods, lightening, etc), criminal behavior or even terrorist activity, for example pose as variables to which the management of risk may be tested.

As part of Envirocorp risk management protocol a simple yet effective ten point plan has been established to provide both Envirocorp personnel with guidance and Envirocorp’ clientele with confidence in the event of an emergency situation and the way in which Envirocorp will deal in such a situation.
